I write better when I smoke. Don’t ask me to reduce it to a science.

Among Ed

Now it’s Among Ed’s turn at blogging. Whooptydoo.

His first post – well, I think it’s his first, not counting the speeches he put up – is brief enough to quote in full:

When I take a closer look at the year that passed, the metaphor that comes to mind is that of a ship. This ship is buffeted by strong winds and big waves. However, this ship is definitely on course. Our advocacy for good governance and responsible citizenship is being implemented slowly but surely. To me good governance is leadership by example. Hence, I invest practically every minute of my waking hours to public service. (Of course, I start my day by centering myself, especially my heart, on God.)

Well, that sure set my blood pumping.

This is exactly what i meant when i said that we can’t possibly expect anything earth-shaking from the good governor other than sermons. Still, it is his first post. Who knows? He might shock us all with some staggeringly original insight on governance.

But I’m not holding my breath.

Incidentally, I was speaking with someone today who has vitiligo, which I think is what Among Ed has. Now I once did something for this friend of mine which I was inspired to do for the new kid on the blog. I’m no expert but …

It sucks when you look at it from a normal reading distance. You’re gonna have to lean away and maybe squint a little to see the work as I originally envisioned it. LOL. Have to admit, he does have a certain rakish charm …

    I couldn’t find Among Ed’s comments section.

If his picture is retouched, that would be asking for trouble. Some blogger will surely make an issue out of it.

cvj: i don’t think he ready to accept comments yet. either that or the folks at blogger’s kapihan don’t want a repeat of what’s going on at lozada’s blog.

I retouched his picture. And if anyone wants to pick a fight with me for doing it, bring ’em on! LOL! 😀

  3. cvj says:

They do so at their peril 🙂

What’s happening on Jun Lozada’s blog?

  5. rom says:

J: nothing much really. just a deluge of anti-lozada comments.

  6. J says:

Oh yes. Maybe benign0 did tell anti-Lozada people in the forum he linked to FilipinoVoices to comment on Jun Lozada’s blog afterall. Haha.

  • Re-election 31 December 2008
Maceda sez Erap consulted Narvasa and others, and they told him that the 1987 Consti prohibits only the INCUMBENT prez from re-election. Former prezzies, by their definition, face no such prohibition. But in the same breath, Maceda also sez that they know an Erap candidacy will be the subject of a disqual case – but […]
  • Escalation 30 December 2008
I still think the Pangandaman’s shouldn’t have retaliated even if dela Paz threw the first punch. But is anyone really surprised at the escalation in the story-telling on both sides? BTW, I think we can dispense with the age angle nao.

Unless you’re spoiling for a fight, assume that the writer has some basis for what she writes. Don’t make like a lawyer and ask retarded questions in an attempt to lay the foundation for whatever point you’re trying to make.
  • Anne 28 December 2008
Anne Curtis won best actress? Against the likes of Marian Rivera and Diana Zubiri? So what?
  • Baler 28 December 2008
Watching Baler tomorrow. Will it be worth it?
