Among Ed

Now it’s Among Ed’s turn at blogging. Whooptydoo.

His first post – well, I think it’s his first, not counting the speeches he put up – is brief enough to quote in full:

When I take a closer look at the year that passed, the metaphor that comes to mind is that of a ship. This ship is buffeted by strong winds and big waves. However, this ship is definitely on course. Our advocacy for good governance and responsible citizenship is being implemented slowly but surely. To me good governance is leadership by example. Hence, I invest practically every minute of my waking hours to public service. (Of course, I start my day by centering myself, especially my heart, on God.)

Well, that sure set my blood pumping.

This is exactly what i meant when i said that we can’t possibly expect anything earth-shaking from the good governor other than sermons. Still, it is his first post. Who knows? He might shock us all with some staggeringly original insight on governance.

But I’m not holding my breath.

Incidentally, I was speaking with someone today who has vitiligo, which I think is what Among Ed has. Now I once did something for this friend of mine which I was inspired to do for the new kid on the blog. I’m no expert but …

It sucks when you look at it from a normal reading distance. You’re gonna have to lean away and maybe squint a little to see the work as I originally envisioned it. LOL. Have to admit, he does have a certain rakish charm …
