Crass is about the only word I can think of to describe the latest bayantel ad, capitalizing on Rupert Ambil’s use of their wireless ‘landline’ during, and in the aftermath of the Penn take-over.
I don’t suppose everyone will agree, but it just seemed to further blur the already vanishing line between journalism and crass commercialism; bad enough we can barely distinguish between news and entertainment, we might now be entering the age of reporters preening as image models.
It’d be funny if it weren’t so goddamned pathetic.
